Advanced Communication, Sensors & Power Management
The Falcon Live GPS tracker is built on a robust multi-channel communication platform and high-precision sensors to ensure you always know where your bird is – and how it flies.
The tracker is suitable for birds of 500 grams and up.
Multi-GNSS positioning
The tracker supports multiple global navigation satellite systems (multi-GNSS), enabling fast and reliable position fixes. By combining signals from several satellite constellations it improves accuracy and reduces dropouts in challenging environments.
4G LTE Cat-M for long-range connectivity
For long-distance flights, the tracker uses 4G LTE Cat-M (LTE-M) connectivity to send live position and sensor data directly to the cloud. This low-power wide-area technology is optimized for IoT devices, providing excellent coverage, low energy consumption, and reliable data transfer over very long ranges.
Long-range Bluetooth for field use
When you are near the falcon, you can connect to the tracker via Bluetooth with a range of 1,000 meters or more (line of sight, depending on the environment and antenna position). This allows you to configure the device, check status, and download data directly with a mobile app – even in remote areas without mobile coverage.
Orientation & motion sensors (IMU)
The Falcon Live GPS tracker integrates an accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer for optimal orientation of the device in space. These sensors allow precise measurement of movements, rotations and direction. In addition, the system can record accelerations and G-forces at the moment of impact on the prey, giving unique insight into hunting dynamics and the physical load on the bird.
Solar-powered for ultra-long standby
Integrated solar panels continuously recharge the internal battery during daylight. Combined with an optimized, smart energy-management system, the tracker can operate for weeks to months without manual charging, depending on the tracking profile and flight intensity.
Smart energy management
The firmware intelligently adjusts sampling and transmission intervals according to movement, GPS signal quality, and battery level. This way, the tracker delivers detailed flight data when needed, while conserving energy during rest periods or when the bird is in the loft.
Real-time alerts
Falcon Live GPS continuously monitors all key parameters and sends real-time alerts directly to the owner:
- Technical alerts – low battery, weak or lost GPS / mobile signal and other critical device status notifications.
- Geofencing alerts – when the bird leaves a predefined radius or zone, you immediately receive a warning.
- Altitude change alerts – notifications when the bird suddenly loses or rapidly gains altitude, helping you detect possible problems or a strike on prey in real time.
These smart alerts ensure that you are always one step ahead and can react quickly in any situation.
